Guy Cope, the famous BSB photographer, took these pictures of the Breil bikes at the Brands Hatch WSB round in 2004. They have been published before, but they're hard to find on the web. I'd seen them before but I couldn't find them anywhere.
This is just a great pic. I have it as the wallpaper on my iPad. Note the 'quickshifter' button on the left bar. Also, the forks are road outers but dispense with the dust seal to reduce friction on the slider and provide better performance and feedback.
Those calliper bolts look very shiny. Surely they can't be the same as the bolts that look so bad after just a few weeks on our production Ducatis???
This looks like Clearways. If you zoom in on this image, you can just make out the number 2 on the front of the yoke.
Looking at this picture from Ducati.com (coincidently taken at Silverstone), we can see L1 in the same place on the bike in the foreground. Again, Lanzi is on the number 2 bike, leaving the number 1 in the pits. Also, the grips have changed.
So, the help: does anyone know where I can get some of the black and grey grips in the first picture? And the yellow caps for the fuel tank overflow? Thanks!

Here's the riders perspective: immediately, we can see that the 'coffin' brake and clutch reservoirs have been replaced by conventional round units. This is strictly against WSS rules, being a modification to the braking system, but the Factory had permission to change to this type for safety reasons. I believe the concern was that when the bike was on full lean, or past full lean in the gravel, it was thought possible for air to find it's way into the brake lines - an obvious issue.
Also, we can see that this bike is running WSB fork internals.
For Ducati riders: this is the idle speed! It's not even registering on the graph, which starts at 5,000 and ends at 15. These bikes would have gone to 14,500rpm.
